Ocing a voodoo 3 3000 pci

k so far as i can go is 166/166 @ 195/195 so far ive lapped the sink , used asII , should i add sinks to the vid mem if so what is a good thing for this , or where can i buy

id would use ASII epxoy if i was to ..... ic an get a tnt 2 pro 32 meg for 20 $ so price is an issue

i have a voodoo 3 3500 agp and i leave mine at 196/196 with the stock heatsink, and im getting a gf3 for christmas so i am spending no money on this pos.....but hope you can get that card really fast

you can also use powerstrip to do your overclocking, this has worked great for me

Ummmmmmmm, why bother wasting your time?? For under $100 you can get a card with 50 times the performance.

well i am getting a gf3 for christmas, so why waste $100 for a better card for about a month....and i get bored so i overclock stuff of my computer

you wont find much improvment even with ramsinks. i had a v3000 that would do 220/220 but benchmark scores were lower above 200/200. it has to do with the fact that the memory simply cant go much above 190. illl admit i had no ramsinks but i have a 120 mm blowholefan aimed directly at the agp slot. i got 3600 points in 3dmark2000 with that little critter in win2k. lol i was all smiles. have fun. radio shack has some sinks that go for a dollar. theyed work fine. the little dark blue ones

i got 3650 something in 3dmark 2000 , and 1600 in 2001

it works but for 20 $ i can get something way better sorta , ill just have to OC that one 2

Do the backs of ur cards get hot? My voodoo get nice n' toasty! and thats with a Pentium Pro HS and a 15CFM fan...

Voodoo 4 & 5 are horrible..

About the Voodoo 3.. Overclocking won't do much your ram won't necessarly get hot enough to require ram sinks.

Voodoo start crapping out around 200/200..

I really like mine, great quality, handles my whacky bus speeds real good and overclocks like the old celerons! I could get more out of mine, but I think ill invent in a really high powered peltier to remove this heat and take it really high!

The voodoo 4-5/5-5 drivers work for 5-6 too, I disassembled them before, and it has commands for all cards. Also, the registry has settings for the voodoo 5 6000.
