I recently replaced the power harness on a Sony Vaio PCG-k33 series notebook (damaged power receptacle). Currently one can now utilize the AC adapter to charge the notebook battery however the notebook refuses to run off of the power provided by the AC adapter. If one plugs in the AC adapter before the notebook is booted or during use the AC adapter functions for about 10 seconds before ceasing to supply power to the notebook (AC adapter LED turns off). At this point the notebook again runs off of the battery. The AC adapter is a Targus universal. Has anyone experienced anything of this sort previously? I suppose a problem could reside with the notebook or the AC adapter. I am fairly certain that everything was reassembled properly; I am going to recheck the ground points as this is the only thing that I could imagine being problematic however I am quite certain that there were no reassembly errs made. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
