I've checked the Nview manager and the Temps are showing 68 C. This seems hot, atleast too hot for what it should be running. I don't know if this is normal for the "OC'ed" version or not.
I have cleaned all the dust out and it is now spotless, but the temp is still high.
I've never OC'd it or modified it.
Thanks
Seems about right. The 6 series always ran a bit hot. Ive got my side panel off and a Vantec PCI fan blowing on mine and it loads around 65C and idles at about 60C.

Alright thanks,
Just wanted to make sure I'm not going to lose this card anytime soon to overheating.

If the 68° is the idle temp, Then IMO that is warm, If that is the load temp then that is very good.

my XFX 6800GT, stock BIOS at 432/1140 clocks runs at 59 idle and 72 max load on the GPU, ambients are 35 idle and 45 under load. If 68 is load temp, that seems right to me, what are your clocks? If your worried, improve your air flow and system circulation.
