This is the remains of a Compaq Presario 4508... I finally decided to take some parts from this computer and build a better one with parts from another one... and decided to give the Compaq motherboard the death it truly deserved for the years of anguish it gave me. I admit, it felt good to get this out of my system... rhetorically and literally.

Y'know... I found the ISA and PCI slots come apart a lot easier if ya wedge a screwdriver in there, pound it down with a hammer, and then twist....
/me gets the flame thrower!!!
Lets burn this baby!

Now send it back to Compaq saying you want to RMA it..
(Include the hammer)

I think the RMA idea is good. Tell them when you opened the case and removed a PCI card all these parts just "fell off."
You'll get no response, that I can guarantee.

Haha that is some funny shi# man. I do the same thing with all of my floppies when they don't work. Did it too a walk man too when I was a kid. Haven't had to do it too any computer hardware yet though. I am still young though;)

This thread changed my really bad mood today
thx
Know what's better than a hammer? A high powered pellet gun. My roommates and I destroyed a mobo with pellet guns. Then I got all crazy and pulled out the compound bow. Nothing better than seeing two arrows jammed through a motherboard. And the mobo was still on the case mounting tray (it was some crappy compaq that died a hard death). Arrows blew right through the mobo and the tray. Then we continuted to blow off the ICs with the pellet guns. And we tore through a metric butt load of CDs with the pellet guns. I thing we were able to tear through 10 CDs with one shot. That was some power.
