Can't delete files!

Crazy stuff.... I have three ex-shortcuts on my desktop in XP that i cannot delete. (all 3 from UleadGifAnimator; long story). The icons are long gone, and in the properties of these files, everything is balnk. NOW, the problem is, when i try to delete them, the error message "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source files or disks." comes up. So now i have three blank icons on my desktop for Ulead Gif animator, that i cannot modify in any way! :mad: (And, of course, dont work) Does windows have a STRONGER way of deleting files, or will i have to look at these eye-sores until next install of windows???

Right click the files and go to properties. Make sure you have the correct permissions to edit/delete/modify the particular file. See if that helps.

Afraid that doesnt work. Everything in properties is blank anyway. Heres a pic of what im dealing with:

OK - Just FIXED IT! I uninstalled the program, then it left a bunch of files behind, I deleted them, and presto! ****ty icons are gone! :beer: I'm going to bed.
