I have been trying to compare the wattages between a P4 640 and and a P4 950, does anyone know where I can find a comparison?
Thanks...

If you're planning on a 950, get the 945 which will be here soon, that one has a 95W. BTW, the 945 will be somewhere around $188 (http://www.superwarehouse.com/Intel_Pentium_D_945,_3.4_GHz_Dual_Core_Processor/BX80553945/p/1486988) at the stores, much less than the 950's current $229 at egg.
What is the difference between the two except wattage?
Thanks.

Not sure what the difference is but make sure your mobo will support the newer 945 before purchasing

The 945 is just a standard Presslar 775 isn't it? Why wouldn't any 775 motherboard support it?
Not all socket LGA775 motherboards support Pentium D dual cores. I don't think any i915 or i925 chipsets support them. I think all i945 chipsets and above should. The Asus P5P800 is one of the few i865 chipset mobos that will take the dual cores. So yeah, make sure your mobo supports it before buying.

I believe the PentiumD 945 will not have VT (virtualization technology) and perhaps some other feature.

How would that impact me if I went with the 945 instead of the 950? My motherboard is the P5WD2 with a 955x chip set flashed to v501 bios.
Thanks...
