Delete Everything!

I am so sick of my hard drive ive had enough. Can someone please give me instructions on how to erase EVERYTHING on my hard drive so i can RE-install Win Me?

boot from a boot disk to c: promt then format it format c:

no i need to delete EVERYTHING. Including partitions, etc

what did you use to make your partitions?

Either boot from the cd or the startup disc..

Go into a.

fdisk..

instructions are there..

then

restart.. read where your diagnostics drive was loaded to...

go into that drive and

format c:

then load your Win ME CD and then install..

just fdisk it all it will allow you to delete partitions and recreate them.

If you want to clean that drive spotless go to the makers site down load there utilties and do the low level format.this will write zeros to the entire drive.

If you don't mind my saying. I think you would be much happier if you ditched winME and went with winXP. I know this doesn't have anything to do with reformatting, but if you're going to start fresh, you might as well do it right!
