Last night i bumped up my FSB to 140( in small incraments) and got my Cpu around 1460. It ran good and cool with no problems, when i turned it on this morning it said the speed was 1402. I went back into the BIOS and it was still 140 so i moved it to 141 rebooted and bam up to 1480. Why did it do that? And should i consider unlocking My Processor and going that direction?
Im running a tbird 1.4 on a elements 866as-r mobo w/ 256 kingston DDR.
Im a noob that needs HELP AND ADVICE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I am not to familiar with your motherboard, but your processer should already be unlocked if it is a 1.4 T.B.

Where were you reading your speed? I've seen mbm and other software give some very erratic readings.

At different times with hmoniter and a benchmark program. Do yo have a good mobo minter you recommend if so gimme a link please:)
