When you first build an XP machine, it will boot straight to the desktop. When you join it to a domain, it asks you press CTL+ALT+DEL to login. I just disjoined an XP PC from a domain and now it asks me to choose my local user. How do I make it boot all the way to the desktop again?

Click Start, click Run, and type control userpasswords2. This is a shortcut instead of having to click on Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts.

Uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" check box.

Click Apply.

Enter the user name and password you wish to automatically log on with, and then click OK.

Click OK again and you're all done.

Also to just disable the Ctrl+Alt+Delete requirement you can click the Advanced tab and deselect the secure logon feature.
