IE not running a java applet

i'm trying to test jwirc before i put it in a page on the site i'm working on. just using the sample html files they provide, i can run the applet in firefox but not internet explorer. in the advanced settings i made sure "Use JRE 1.5.0_06 for <applet>" was on, but the applet still wont work for me. any ideas?

Which JDK package do u use?

Do you see a Java logo?
