Was wondering if any of you intel buffs know how to overclock my beast it says p5-133.
I know its not a pentium 5 but thats what it says on the box.

Same way as you overclock any cpu.
Change the fsb from the default to a higher setting or change the multiplier from the default to a higher setting if the cpu is not locked.
Most older boards use jumpers to change these things so read thru the motherboards manual.

a lot of p133 cpus were multiplier locked as they all could run as a 166 I have two that are locked so the only way to oc is to increase the fsb mine both run at 75mhz

I'm fairly sure Intel did not start locking the CPUs until the P-II. Even some of the early P-II's were still unlocked, because I had an early P-II 233 that was unlocked. Many of those first Peniums (586) did not "like" a higher multiplier. I've heard rumors of them being "locked going up" but you could go down. Since overclocking always seems to work best and run better with a high FSB and a low multiplier, I suspect that those chips just didn't like the higher multiplier. They probably required more cooling or the were just maxed out or needed more voltage (or a combination of factors). Of course, I have been wrong before.

That 133 uses a setting of 2X multiplier and 66 MHz FSB. If you have a FSB setting of 75 (used with some of the Cyrix CPUs) then 2X75=150 MHz would be a nice overclock. If you don't have a 75 FSB jumper on the motherboard, then I'd try 2.5X66=166 Mhz. But like was said earlier, you'll probably need better cooling.

I don't believe Pentium's were locked after the P2 233..

And yes look for the jumpers to go 75x2.
