For me an unenhanced version of Firefox worked well but failed the drop down or pop-under test and the sticky pop-up .

I will try it with Opera later .

Surprisingly Opera failed 3 tests outright :

Floating Banner
Sticky Pop-up

It partly failed the Floating Pop-up which appeared but didn't float around , just stayed one place and could be scrolled past .

I run Nortons fire wall and antivirus and I still failed one test, (drop down). What do we do to stop all of them?

The thing to do is test the Linux versions of Firefox and Opera and see what happens . If they don't fail anything then it is a Linux strength . If they still fail then Konqueror is really good or ............. do you have Java on ?

I have never used any 'professional ' pop-up[ blockers so I cannot help you there ............ yet . the question is also ............... do the 'pro ' applications work as advertised . I'd advise to check www.softpedia.com for software and cnet.com for reviews and tests .

only popup that fails with Firefox 1.5.0.5 is the Dropdown banner :)

Cowboy X, didn't go down far enough, my bad, Konqueror failed on:
Sticky Pop Up
and Java is enabled
Why test with Firefox or Mozilla? I don't use them. I probably could get Konqueror to stop the Sticky Pop Up but I don't get them and I'm too lazy to figure out how to.

I passed them all using Mozilla Swiftfox on Ubuntu Dapper Linux, With MoBlock and Adblock using Filterset.G auto updater
