the x1900gt was introduced to compete with the 7900gt.

Wow, ATI using the same suffix as nvidia. Usually when ATI uses "GT" it means a castrated version of the card.

Yeah, took maybe 8 weeks iirc.

Connect3d will get your rebate back. I would buy this card if the x1900gt was better than the x1800xt, but it doesn't seem the case.

not really... the x1800 512 is actually better if you ask me (in most cases).

the x1800xt 256 is up and down with the x1900gt... the x1900gt wasn't a big hit:

looks like my x1800 512mb is better fit for half-life2... although i think the x1900gt does fairly well in oblivion.

choose ur card based on the game(s) you play... look at the benchmarks - they've supplied TONS.
