I got cheap termal paste with my Vantec CCK2025 fan, I want to replace it with artic silver....

the question is how do I remove the paste from bothe the core and the hsf.... (there is no problem foir the hsf, but I dont want to scrap my cpu..... with product like alcool if It's not recommended)

the hsf you can use a clean lintless piece of cloth and some 92% rubbing alcohol (or less) to take off the grease. the core you can use s credit card to wipe off the large goop off and then use a cotton swab and the alcohol to take it off the rest.
