These are both G.Skill 2x1GB kits... DDR2-800 the both.

Top one os more expensive and has tighter timings. Does anyone know if they both use the same chips, in which case the cheaper ones are just poorer chips?

Also, does anyone know anything about the A-Data Vitesta DDr2-800 2GB Extreme edition kit? It was reviewed in The UK's 'Custom PC' magazine and they reckon www.memory-configurator.co.uk stocks it, but they only have 512mb modules on their website... Custom PC rated it very highly, it is their favourite DDR2 for overclocking, and only $270 equivalent.

If you have the money I would definatly go for the G.Skill memory in the first link. I know several people that have it and they absolutely love it. It overclocks fatasticly and has good timings aswell. I dont know much about the G.Skill memory in the second link other than what those 2 reviews told me. If I had to guess they probably arent the best clockers.

I was in the same boat as you guys when trying to pick ram for conroe, so i asked around. The frist ram uses MUCH better chips that are great overclockers, so i was told by alot of people on here.
