Anyone of how one can update Win Xp (legal) without having internet connection?

My brother in law, in another country, was telling he has some problems which i think might be fixed if he were to update his windows xp...but he doesn't have internet nor does he know anyone who does. Is there any way for him to update a Win XP copy without connecting to the internet?

You can usually download the security updates manually. If you go to the security section on microsofts site then go to the sceurity bulletin it should list the updates and the file downloads for each update and the OS it supports.

SP2 as well can be downloaded as a network installation file. However it is almost 300MB's.

Yes, simply go to the normal update page and on the side click administrator, from there you select what OS and services pack and it will give you a list of all updates that our out for it and let you pick where to download them to, then just burn them to a CD.
