Grey'd out MS office

All of my office apps have the toolbars grey'd out.... for instance, in MS word... I can't type anything, excel won't let me edit excel pages...

Do I need to do some kind of registration thing?

Try going to the MS update page (update.microsoft.com). They should have a tool that you can download that validates your copy of office.

Go to Help > Activate Product in any of the office apps
