MB supports DDR2 533, What about DDR2 667

Well, can you set the memory frequency in BIOS? If so it may default to 533 but you should be able to adjust it manually to 667.

Remember, DDR1 boards are rated for 400 but can do more most of the time. It just depends on the overclockability of your board.

I was just worried that ddr667 would cause the mb to not post since it only officially supports ddr533. I would much rather buy ddr667 since it is the same price as ddr533.

You can always run the ddr667 at ddr533 speeds if the motherboard will only run ddr533. The rating of the memory is more of a 'guaranteed to run at this speed' upper limit rather than an exact setting.

Right. You should be fine with DDR2-667.
