Even with the reported fsb 1333 for kentsfield?

You might have Kentsfield and Woodcrest mixed up. Woodcrest is the server processor which has 1333FSB, Kentsfield will be 1066FSB. Now Kentsfield XE MIGHT be 1333FSB, but I imagine that would require Intel 985 Chipset.

There are a couple E6700 Kentsfield over at XS and they all run the 1066FSB.

HUH?
who is talking about what?
i think this a good question, and it might have the right answer, if we were all on the same page.

i am interested in (possibly an asus) C2D board that is quad ready.
is that the WDh?

Give the Inquirer's mission statment a read there orion..
They are generaly only half right if not completely off the mark all together, 1333FSB for the XE would be specultion and MIGHT come true, 1333 for all kentsfeild's would be WILD SPECULATION at this point.

but weren't we all hopeing to overclock all these mobo's to 2000FSB anyway :sn: ;)
1700FSB is a low OCing average for that board it could take the FSB no problem.
