Hi,
I need a cooler/fan combination for a ASUS A7A266 (Ali) and a TB 1,4. For the Alpha 8045 is not enough space ...
I thought of those ....
Thermalright SK6
Swif MC/X 370
Cooljag JAC 102C
These fit. And I thought also of combining them with a 80x80 fan. What do you think would be the best?
It shouldn't be too noisy.
Presently a Alpha 6035 with a Y.S. tech 2.55 (60x60) is installed and it's too much noise and too hot (60-65°).
There's no OC .....

SK6, or millenium glaciator, the SK6 will get you better temps, but if noise concerns you the Glaciator will be maybe 2C hotter with a much quieter fan, also make sure the heatsink is siting right on the cpu, because the 6035 is a decent cooler and temps should be better than that...

Well, I think the alpha is correct installed, but I can try removing and reinstall. But even the fan is too loud ....
Thanks for answering.

Do you think the Blacknoise Noiseblocker Gladiator will fit for the A7A - it's also 80x80, and the Alpha-pages says that the 8045 doesn't fit.
If yes, which model you recommend:
Gladiator Pro S 2,3,4 oe VAS 2,3 ??

Get a glaciator 2 from http://www.millennium-thermal.com
I have one on my setup, it's quiet, I run 38-39c under load. It's a nice piece.

Well, the problem is that I'm not quite sure that the heatsink fits on the board, because it's a 80x80.
Does anybody has experiences about this ...?
If you really must change the cooler, I would suggest the SK6 with an 80mm fan that can deliver about 40cfm. It's an easy fit (you can search this forum for info on this) and it's not that noisy. You get the added bonus of overclocking too ;)
Bear in mind though that asus boards report higher temperatures than other brands (mine does! A7V266), so don't worry too much about it if your system is stable. To cool down your system more, add some fans in your case, cutting first the "grills" that are on it - these thing block a lot of air.

What do you think abou the weight of the SK6 with a 80mm fan? Isn't it a little heavy for one nose to hold?
Do you have experience?
What would be the result of combining the Alpha 6035 with a 80mm fan?
