I got an Iwill Slocket II. If I expect to hit over 133 FSB I set the jumpers to AUTO, correct?

I notice this thing will allow vcore way over 1.95. So the Slocket will allow voltages over what the host motherboard is capable of?

Say my motherboard will only go as high as 1.85 volts, so I set it to 1.85 in the BIOS or jumpers and I can go higher than that via the Slocket?

The highest voltages you can go with a BE6-II Ver. 2.0, P3B-F, and P3V4X is 1.85, correct? Unless I use some special software or pinning mod, I believe.

I think you set your FSB to what your chip runs at and the default voltage.

And you change the rest from the bios.

no, you can use the slocket to get higher voltages (basically it does the vidpinning for you depending on what you select) and also the fsb should be set to auto and the motherboard should be used to change the fsb..

Funny is correct. If you set the slotket at a higher than default voltage, this fools the BIOS into thinking the default voltage is what you set on the slotket. Often the motherboard will then allow some higher setting options in the BIOS.

Thanks for the confirmation. I guess this is one advantage of using an FC-PGA chip on a Slot 1 board, versus using a Slot 1 CPU. Except the Slocket may increase the length of the line traces.

Can someone tell me if the motherboard has to support coppermine in order to use a coppermine CPU through a slotket? I'm still confused on this point.

yes, but i believe that all mobos that supported katmais couldsupport Cumines with bios update?

I agree with FunnyPerson 1..

Its just a different core still P3..
