COH/COV has really weak PVP and just gets old way too fast, WOW well I dislike WOW but its like crack for some people so I dunno. Instead of playing an MMO why not take up a job with more hours lol.

I will be playing the bass for the church soon and still going to my lesson. so thats half the week taken up by time and I don't know what I should be doign the other time ( becuase practice is 2 hours aday ) and there is a lot of hours during a day :)

As much as i hate to say it go with WoW by far. I went back and enjoyed myself for a couple months, but it got annoying with all the people with uber gear.

COH/COV IMO is fricken terrible. I played a free 7 day trial for about 1 hour before i had to shut it off. The battle system is just terrible, but i loooove the idea of being able to create your own hero and go around in a hero world.

I'd do EVE. It's an amazingly in depth game that you will never run out of things to do :)

Course, now that I have a 40 hour+ a week job I don't have much time to play.

if the option is WoW or CoH/V, i say WoW by a mile.
but of any MMOs out, Eve is numero uno

I have WoW was really getting fed up with it...got to a point where it wasn;t much fun so I'm waiting for my subscription to run out..but I;ve been having alot of fun in it recently again so who knows I might not cancel after all. COV I had a free trial for it and just like boris said...the idea is great....the most fun I had was creating my villian...then the game wasn't much fun once I got into the world. Eve I hear so many people talk about it...I did the 14 day trial twice and wasn;t able to get into it...I think it just lacks that casual run around and see people and say hi quick...I felt like I was watching my ship autopilot around too much. I got tired of trying to find things to do to keep my entertained while I was playing it.

Everquest 2 I've considered reinstalling....I had it for awhile and had alot of fun with it, I got mad because they had an update that made soloing very difficult and I didn't have as much time to be in groups constantly...plus my friend had WoW so I left..but I think as far as current MMO's EQ2 is pretty good and the combat is fun and more varried than WoW's. Guildwars is fun but I found I could never get into any groups when I wanted to but since there's no monthly fee it's probably worth it still.

Thanks gang I've tried eve beta when it first came out and I found it stupid and not much to do in it, but who knows it may be a cool game by now.

Oh your going to be flammed for that remark haha. Anyway WoW out of those by far, also could give something Guild Wars a try since it has no monthly fee. Or another thing you may want to try is looking for ones in Beta. Ones like Knight online are free, and many other ones like future WoWs you can play for free in return for "testing their software."

lol, where are all the Eve players coming from, they are multiplying like <Tony Montana> cockaroaches </TM>.

What kind of time are you looking to spend here?

And can you get past gfx if the gameplay is there?

Try AC1 for a year and you will find the most inovative quests in MMO games today, along with tons of content and a loot system that is absolutely unmatched by ANY game today.

Its much faster paced and there is a hardcore PvP server with NO rules for those who love the extreme PvP life.

Its almost as old as EQ and looks it, but the gameplay can't be topped (in the genre). Its much faster paced than EQ clones and extremely solo friendly, but there aren't defined roles for groups, so its more of a free for all than, say... you are the tank, he is the healer, she is the caster. its more like, you take out these guys, I'll take out those guys.

The drawl distance is pretty nice, the character models look more human than any game I've played and the environments are very pretty considering the engine age.

I burnt out on it long ago, but if you have 8+ hours per week to play you could really enjoy it.

Also, I don't know how it is now, but you join a monarchy and experience is passed up the chain of followers so there is a nice reward for helping noobs so their is a social aspect that no other game has and monarchies grow into the thousands vs. the little guilds in most games, but there are always smaller monarchies if thats ot your thing.

There is housing, killer loot, a fantastic magic system, combat is fast paced and fun, PvP takes a lot more skill than most MMO games, levels go by fast and are upto 185 or something close to that. IMO, of course as there are 5 million people playing WoW that would say I'm wrong and they very well could be right, but it does do a lot of things differently from any other MMO game and if WoW had the loot system, land mass, the monarch/patron/vassal system, the skills, the evolving/interactive story archs and quests of AC1 it would have 10 million subs right now:D

It really got overlooked by a lot of people back in the day, but most of those who played it swear by it now, but it is a grind like all others, but you are looking to grind so that shouldn't be a big deal.

Try it for a month and see.

I am really like Guild Wars right now, and it keeps growing on me(and like most MMORPGs being in a Guild/Clan, and playing with other people(rather than going solo)) is tons of fun.

Also, the fact that I dont have to pay a monthly fee is nice(I hate subscription fees, if you pay $15 a month or so, you will end up paying $180+ a year for that one game, so the fact that Guild Wars is $180 cheaper a year is a huge plus to me) . And the music is composed by Jeremy Soule, who I think makes some of the BEST Video Game Music. You can listen to some of the Guild Wars Sound Trak here: http://www.directsong.com/ .

But, if I was going to pay a subscription, fee and get a Different MMORPG I would probably get WoW.
