Right now I have the asus P5LD2-VM board with the 945G chipset... I'm toying with the idea of upgrading to the P5LD2 delux, and of course it has a 945P chipset. Does anybody know if I will have to do a complete re install of xp? And if so will I have to call microsoft and re register??

Thanks.

The answer is no...

The P5DL2 Deluxe can repalce the P5DL2-VM without doing a thing!

One other note:

I had a Hauppage Win TV PVR USB2 TV tuner card connected and it was preventing overclocking beyond about 3.6Ghz... Now without it connected, I am stable at 4.25Ghz.... go figure!!??

CORRECTION:

It wasn't the Hauppage... it was the usb cable that connected the hauppage.... there was a slight gash in the insulation that was preventing the overclocking. I guess that shows you how well tuned it all has to be to get a good OC!!
