This game is so sweet.

Think Rainbow Six in huge outdoor environments.

I suggest everyone check this out, (demo is at fileplanet), because it's just so sweet.

I see alot of CS posts, all you CSers who like CS because of the 'realism' aspect definately wanna check Ghost Recon out. It might be a little slow for you (if your not a R:6 fan) but its realism at its finest.

Indeed! Its a fantastic game-VERY realistic. I loved the demo, YEAH! 1 round from my M16, then watch em drop. :) Looks like red storm has done it again.

I just finished the first mission... over 40 minutes!!!

But before you all rush out and buy it, you might want to head over Here (http://www.ghostrecon.com) and check out the forums.
It appears that alot of people are having problems getting it to rn on their systems. Problems like crashing out to the desktop seem to be the most common but there is many more also.

Oh well...works for me...And I'm Impressed!:D

Crashing to desktop. hasnt happend w/ the GR demo yet, however, Rogue Spear did that like once every couple hours! it was so common that when server crashed, everyone knew to wait a couple mins, then reconnect to it. :D

Agreed, i have crashed to desktop many a time, but It's still great. I love the sniper's ghillie suit, I once walked over a guy wearing it in a net game. Seriously, I walked within 3 inches of him, and turned around just in time to look down the barrel of his M24 Sniper Rifle.

I got him good with my rocket launcher though :cool:

Just as a matter of interest, what Resolution are you guys running at while playing GR, and what Video card do you have?

Im running at 640x480 and have a c2 @1229 with a TNT2 Ultra and at 1024x768 it is unplayable..
I havent tried 800x600 yet as I just wanted to get the game playable.

Yet I can run Q3 at 800x600 with all the bots in the world and I never get a slow down.

I like the game a lot too, but with my Voodoo 3 the menus are so screwed up, I can barely read them, but the gameplay graphics are still good.

With my Radeon and Athlon I play @ 800x600x32 with everything else on medium. Looks pretty enough for me :)

Probably end up upgrading my processor just for this game. :D

The third mission is gonna take awhile, Ive tried twice and failed both times :(

And i'm playing on 'Recruit' ...I am hopeless:eh?:

It really doesn't matter that much.

Well i was waitin this game the whole year i finally bought it and i cant believe it IT IS LIKE A God Damn BETA !!!
I have an AWESOME custom built systems @ home and there are parts when i feel like playin on AMIGA500.The game is buggy as HELLL!!!I ve posted countless bugz and screenshots to ubi fourums and nothin..Finally i ve decided to go all the way and flamed them real HARD!!They banned me for life...just 4 tellin the truth they messed up and wont admit it!They are tellin all kind of excuses which i dont buy cuz im a hardware freak and i know what im doin ...ill never buy ubi product again!!!
I cant wait to c when the patch comes out itll b @least 30 megs BIG LOL LOL LOL

yah, geting crashes to my the desktop here also.....I might be playing in to high a res ..1280 x 1024..dont get it though runs nice and smooth @ that res ...:confused:

I didn't find any bugs yet, but it does minimize the game and brings me to my desktop whenever my second computer gets connected to me when it boots up. (I'm using a crossover.)

About the bugs - they'll put out a patch to fix a lot of 'em. i know a guy that needed the rogue spear patch to be able to play the game! :eek: Looks sweet. My brother is getting it on his birthday in <2 weeks. :D

I just installed it on one of my other systems..
Won't even start-up.....as soon as I click on the icon I get an illegal operation.

But it is way under spec, it only has a cel366@458and an 8mb Voodoo2.

could be the video card, im running it on medium with my P// 400Mhz, and 32MB Radeon.

* I passed the demo the first try, probably all my special A.F. training, hehehehe... now that I got the demo to work (thanks to PowerStrip) i'm considering getting the full version.
