lately, when i boot up, programs and such run fine , games, outlook , etc..............but when i try to use internet explorer i get an error saying it has encountered a problem and needs to close, thing is it never opens, i also cant browse my drive because windows explorer gives me the same error and never opens............................after a few reboots it seems to come around, im wondering if i should back off the overclock or look into a software glitch? using xp, ill give particulars if needed , its worked fine for over a year........................checked for virus , nothing

Most likely, since ie isn't very stressful. But this is a good way to check. Also try it with everything at stock.
