This is a short how-to on avatar sizing.
As you know, 120*120 is the max size allowed.
For "still" pictures, all you need to do is resize them in a photoshop-type program. If you don't have one, there are several free-ware ones out there that will do the job just as well
Image > Resize is normally where to find it.
For animated GIFs, you need a GIF animating program. You can get a free 15 day trial of my favourite, Ulead GIF Animator 5 (http://www.ulead.com) from this link, and download the manual as a .pdf file (needs Adobe Acrobat reader).
Or, post it here, and ask someone who has it to do it for you.
Any other questions, please post them here, and I, or one of my avatar-ing henchmen will do our best to answer them........
