well i got 2 new whiper pumps for free. dont know the specs but the inlet is huge and the outlet is about 1/4 inch "1/2 inch line when zip tied fit ok."
there 12 volt im gonna try them at 7 volts since there kinda loud and got some power when there on. i dont know about heat dump/head/flow but when compareing to my outher 1/4inch set up's i had this pump kills the pumps iu used for them.
all the connections are sealed with o rings so maybe i can run them submerged since there small and there also swiss made. heres a idea i had for a really budget wc set up untill my buddy can aford a deacent one and i just wanna use these pumps for somthing lol
i tested the pum and it did a 8oz res in about 4 sec so its not that bad. i still wanna test it at 7 volts.

These are automotive windsheild wiper pumps?
Probably only rated for intermittant service and will die within an hour of continuous running.

Yeah thats what they look like, they wont last too long (anything over 2hr would shock me)

Good luck. You may want to open the motor portion up and give it a good lube for good measure. It may last longer that way.

If these are automotive and you try to submerse these they wont last a minute.

there totaly sealed i had 1 running submerged for ovr 12 hours now and its still running strong.
Well... I used one of those as a fish pump undervolted for a while, but at full-power they'll never last.
I've used aquarium pumps many times(because they last a couple years and are more powerful then most "WCing" pumps)... but never one of those for a WCing rig. If it lasts, mabe I'll try one myself. ;)
Oh ya, automotive pumps like that are not always 100% water-proof, so mabe you should pop it open to see if any water got inside, then superglue the bugger shut.
Keep that thing running, I want to see how well it works after a long time.

well they say swiss made so they should be deacent lol. swiss dont make junk ;) i poped it off and the inside was bone dry so i resealed it abd im back to testing.
i can tell the output is the mayjo drawback since this thing has some preshure and i can aim the hose up in the air and it shoot out like if its laying sideways. i wouldent what she would do modded to 3/8.
im gonna make a new houseing for it out of plexi and test this pump and see how good it is.

normal motor. i'll switch to a high end hobby motor and test it out. should have much much more power "even tho stock that motor is strong." and use silver compound hard racing brushes that should last a long time then run it at 5 volt and check the flow. motor uses a custom endbell but if you rewire the back end you can use motors with normal endbells.
for a new motor i'll be looking into.
high rpm.
low voltage
low temp when under volts
deacent amound of torq.
i have a brushless motor onhand that im temped to mod and put in it lol.

omg those kind of motors never die! I had little 3v one. I looked it up to a 12v drill battery and it ran super fast. We took a torch to it, stuck it in water, and it just kept on going. It finally died when i broke a brush off trying to put it back together. LMAO

one is back on still going strong. these motors will run in water only problem is the brushes whare faster. we use to brake our old rc car motors in by water dipping them then powereing them on for 30 sec. i put it back togher selaed it and shes still kickin out water like a mofo.
i would like to see how she does with a high preshure block and a 1/4 inch set up at say 7 volts. if she has enought power stock at those volts and isent to loud then i got my media center pump :)
