Hello, I was wondering if you guy's could give me any advice or improvements on my up coming computer build. :D

I'm new to the world of WC but with all the great information i've gathered over the past few days from these forum's I've decided to go with this.

First the computer part's i'll be using are:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.40GHZ 1066FSB 4MB Retail
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe Motherboard
Mushkin XP2 PC2-6400 2GB DDR2-800 CL 4-4-3-10 Dual Channel Memory Kit
ATI Radeon X1900XTX 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E Video Card
Fortron FSP 500W ATX12V 2.0 24PIN Blue Storm Power Supply
Lian-Li PC65 /w Window Case

and now for the watercooling i'll be using,

Tygon 7/16in. ID 5/8in. OD Laboratory Tubing #R3603
Swiftech MCR220 *BLACK* Quiet Power Radiator
MCRES-MICRO Mini Resevoir - Swiftech
MCP655 Inline 12v 330GPH Pump - Swiftech
Fluid XP+ Extreme Non-Conductive 32 oz. Cooling Fluid - UV Midnight Blue
Swiftech MC14 Video Card BGA Memory Ramsinks
BLACK MiniCoolshroud Kit Retail - Coolingworks x 2
Yate Loon D12SL-12 120mm Silent Fan x 2
Swiftech STORM Rev2 CPU Waterblock
Maze4GPU-LP *Low Profile* Acetal Version - Danger Den

For the loop I was thinking, PUMP>RAD>GPU>CPU>RES>PUMP

Cooling the Radiator I was going to cut the top of my case and have two Yate Loon fans pulling air from the top of the radiator mounted on two shrouds.

Thank you in advance.
Scott

Welcome to the forums! Looks like a great setup, just a few thoughts:
-Downgrade to a x1900xt, you can overclock it to xtx speeds AND save some $$$.
-If you really want some low-temps and high-speeds, go with a BIX III or HE.3, they perform much better with high-speed fans, or a GT.360 or PE.3 for low-speeds.
-You can find the parts cheaper in the FS thread, 100 posts and you can see it.

Good luck, pics are always nice :D

for low cfm fans the Thermochill PA series is great but pricey, not so much the HE series..

Black Ice Pro's are also very good with low cfm fans

everything lokos good there

Suggestions from me:

1) Ditch the non-conductive fluid. More expensive, waste of money. Non-conductive in bottle, not in the loop. With a leak, it'll still short electronics.
2) Since you're using quiet fans, I'm with natewildes to get a Black Ice GT series radiator. I'm also with him to get a 360 (3x120mm fans). It'll save sound and perform better.
3) You can't decide your loop order now, well I'd expect so. First, I'd get the parts in hand and see where in your case they'll fit, then decide the loop order.

I own a PC-65 case by Lian Li and while I have not yet gotten around to water cooling it, I have measured out everything and made a list of parts. A 120.3 won't fit inside the case at all. It is actually pretty crammed inside. If you want to mount it externally, there isn't any other option than to have it hanging out on top (or on your desk or something). A 120.2 will fit though in place of the top 5.25" bay. It is still pretty tight depending on how large your PSU is and how flexible (or not) the cables are.

Anyway, good luck with your set-up and please let me know how it does and the placement of all the parts for when I get around to installing water cooling too.

Thanks for the replies :)

I would really like to keep the radiator mounted inside of the case, I don't plan on doing much overclocking if any at all, my goal would like to stay in the 40ish for temperature underload. Cooling my CPU and GPU.

What would you suggest for radiator's between,
Swiftech MCR220 *BLACK* Quiet Power Radiator with low speed fan's

Black Ice *BLACK XTREME-2* Radiator (BIX2) with high speed fan's

I agree with all your responses so far, with the PA120.3 won't even come close to being mounted inside, the PA120.2 to mount this radiator inside of the case I would have to pull the PSU out abit and use longer screws to support it.

There's also the HE120.2 but I can't seem to find this one in stock anywhere. *sidenote* I live in Canada :)

Is this temperature achievable with these rad's?
I would rather go with the silent setup but if i'm unable to get near this temp i'll hafta go with a High Noise radiator.
