This has been popping into my head for sometime now.

Not everyone can afford to run air conditioning 24/7 in the summer, and it gets pretty dang hot depending on where you live.

what do you guys do in the Summer ? Do you still maintain lower temp than air cooling or is the difference negligable.. higher temps vs air even ??

I was thinking about buying a quiet high performance fan solution for the summer but wanted to know what other people did first.

Well, those who are watercooling probably have it a little better off, especially if they run an open loop/refrigerated water system. I know that a lot of people have to take down the voltage/overclock during the summer. I'm lucky enough to have A/C and a cool basement, not to mention a well ventilated case.
For those w/o A/C or the cash to run A/C full bore, full time, it's just the price ya pay......

Here, in the summer, we're lucky to hit 22-23 degrees C. Aberdeen is quite cool in the summer, and mild in the winter(being right on the coast)

Not a problem in Scotland........:)

I've got my setup in the basement. Even during summer it rarely goes over 70F down here.

I run my AC in my computer room 24/7/365 I dont have a choice. There are 4 computers in an 8x20 room. It tends to get a little warm in there, and the fact that I'm in Fl doesnt help.

Electric company loves me.
