Ok I have Win98se right now, and all my cds for some reason dont play in 2k or Xp. So i have 2 options
1. Reburn all my CDs then install 2k or Xp
2. Install 2k or Xp then just leech my cds off my brothers comp. And reburn them in my new os.
Ideas?
Why won't your disk's play in Win2K or XP? That's really weird!
When you say your CD's won't play do you mean your music CD's or your data CD's that have computer files? Do you mean your homemade CD's or all CD's including the ones that are factory made like the XP install CD and a store bought music CD?????
Finally if you haven't installed XP how would you know the CD's don't work? Did you try on a friend's computer? If so it may be his CD reader is not compatible with the CD's you have burned.
If you are just having trouble with music CD's then reinstall the Windows Media Player by downloading it from Microsoft.
That's really weird what cds don't play all of them? Are they all burnt or something?

IT IS WEIRD
Well if you can spare some cash I would try to buy a new 52x cd rom backup my stuff and see if it works and if it doesn't seems like some internal problem.

I tried win2k and Xp and they both said CDs are currupted. Its not me CD drive. I reburned like 2 and now they work fine with any windows OS, so i am just going to do that.
