MCH Voltage Question

What is a safe level to increase the MCH voltage to? Ive seen many people who jack it right up there to the max.

at what point is it neccesary to do that and to what point is it useful/safe.

I send mine to the max when I'm trying to OC every last bit of FSB. Don't know if it's safe. I just like seeing the bios area in pink. and overvoltage screenies.
