Dell laptop question

Hey, I'm gonna purchase a Dell Laptop for school and I've two questions:

1. Is the CPU soldered on the board like the Macbooks or is it in a socket
2. Is the Mobility Radeon x1300/x1400 worth it over GMA950?

No.

Are you a gamer? The x1400 is hardly worthy of a gaming chip. It will allow some very mild gaming, but don't expect much. Personally i would save the money and go onboard. If you're going to game, you're barking up the wrong tree with an x1400. Of course that's just my opinion.
