GF4 4200 vs 7300GT for DX8 games

Is it true that 7300GT is better than GF4 4200?
Or is this obvious to some of you even without looking at the spec?

if you want a 7300gt, make sure it has GDDR3 Memory. 7300gt with gddr 3 mem can kick some real ass.

I just upgraded from a Ti4600 to a 7800GS and I can tell you that the improvement in DX8 games wasn't what I was expecting. The 7800GS is faster, but not massively so. I'm actually disappointed for the most part. I know my processor and memory bandwidth are partially to blame, but don't expect the 7300GT to blow the doors off the 4200. If that's what you anticipate you will likely be disappointed like me.
