A couple of days ago I installed Windows XP Proffesional on my old computer (With TNT2 Pro & 22.80 WinXP drivers) and tried to run Quake3. I got a very dark screen and the brightness settings didn't work. I had the same problem with my old RAGE 128 and Win2K drivers, then I though it was a driver issue, but now I'm not so sure. could any one help?

Its the Win2K 60hz refresh rate bug ..
Go to http://www.ipkonfig.com and download the nVidia refresh rate fixer.

Could you please explain what I have to do? I did try to set all to 75Hz and it didn't work
I need to tweak the brightness every time I enter quake to get a good brightness and it sux, any idias?
