I just received a ratz pad today and tried it out with my Logitech Dual Optical mouse. My mouse is having problems reading the surface when dragged across at quick speeds. The pointer will actually slow down, not keep up with the mouse movement. I've tried correcting the problem using my mouse accelerator function and adjusting refresh rate...(everything) to no avail.
Does anybody else have this problem with this pad???
Thank you
i've heard of ratz pads before, but what is the difference between them + regular mouse pads??? just wondering.

Punk,

My optical does the same thing on that same pad...the optical eyeball in the mouse can't get a good track on the flat black pad when you move it fast. My solution: I got a good ball mouse. But I think ball mice are better anyway. If you like opticals better, you should probably ditch the pad. Or paint fine white lines in a grid all over it:)
Does look to be a bit too reflective to me.
I've got a beige Curtis hard nylon pad for my optical Logitech. Works great and I think it was only about $5.

Well..at least I know it's not just my mouse:D In all the reviews it was stated that this pad works fine with optical mice. I'm gonna try to find a way to reduce the glare...some kind of chemical or sandpaper, steel wool...
Could try some flat, semi-transparent contact paper or something similar. Almost defeats the purpose of buying one of those though.
