Hi,

I could get a new Plextor 241040A for about 160 US$. Presently I have a Plex 121032A installed and I'm pretty happy with it.

Can you give me a reason to change? Are there any differences beside the speed concerning to making backups? (SD2?)

When I bought my 12x a year ago I had to pay about 250 US$ for it, which was/is a LOT of money .... and now I could sell it for eventually 80US$ ..... this says everything, hm?

eh?

Does your model have Burn-Proof if so you might as well keep it.

Thats the only good reason I can think of, but if it does`nt, well thats a good reason to up-grade!

Yes, my model has already burn-proof.

I was insecure about safedisk2, which is no problem for the 2410A, but with clonecd 3.2.x.y there's maybe no prob. anyway ... Idon't know exactly.

well depends.. do u want much faster burn times? With the 24x i can usually get about 2-3 minute burns for a full 700mb cdr. :D

It all depends if you do a lot of burning or not. I have the 24x Plexie and love it. But, is it worth the extra $ to have a disc burn in under 4min compared to under 7min.

Well the only reason I would want to switch over is if your a massive burner..

And if you have the extra cash to blow..

If you don't burn that much keep your current Plextor and save that money for some other use.
