my friend has asked me to fix his hard drive and after looking at it some pins seem to be pushed in on the female port of the ide cable port.
the ones that are pushed in are the red dots and the untouched ones are the black

also where they are pushed in. they have come loose from the circuit board and need to be Sodderd back on. also since pins on both sides of the circuit board have come off i need to take the plastic casing around them off. is this possible? is it also possible to sodder the pins back on with a normal soddering iron, or is it even fixable at all.
ps. i would take pics but my camera is too old and crappy to focus on something as small as the pins.
