certain sites not loading. in DIRE need of help

i encountered this strange issue just a few hours ago where i wasnt able to open certain sites, such as google, gmail, parts of youtube, etc. along with this my internet was running quite slowly in general. ive done a virus scan with AVG and i connected to my other network and found that none of these issues existed, so i figured that this problem was probably a network problem. could my network thats behaving extremely strangely be messed up in some way? im sorry about the vagueness and i will try my best to answer any follow up questions you guys have. thanks a lot

What browser are you using. Maybe power cycle all you equipment (modem,router, PC).

^^^ What he said. I would power cycle the modem and router and see if you issues still exist.

If power cycling the modem and router doesn't work, check the hosts file. It's located at C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc. Open it with notepad and remove all lines except "127.0.0.1 localhost" (no qutoes). Save the file and reboot.
