View Full Version : Will Dell Inspiron B130 work with 2005FPW?
Is the Dell Inspiron B130 able to display a resolution of 1680x1050 when connected to a Dell 2005FPW? I am asking because I would like to purchase the laptop from a member here and need to know if it will work with the 2005FPW.
The member does not have a widescreen monitor and is unsure. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I tried Dells website and searching google, but didn't have much luck.

It will work, but it'll look like crap if you try to do anything that requires any video power

I am assuming onboard video...on my POS laptop I cant get resolutions that high, 1024x800 is the max I think.

Thank you for the quick response.
How about watching a DVD or recorded HD programs from TV? I really won't play any games.

Yes, Integrated Intel® Media Accelerator 900 Graphics.

I really dont think it will even do 1680x1050. I am not for sure, but I just doubt it will. Dont take my word on it though since I am just guessing.

i think that video card maxes out at 1024x724 which will look like STRETCHED OUT HELL on that display, but then again like the other guy said i dont have this LCD or this laptop so I am only speaking "in theory"
Thanks for your input. I guess I will hold off buying it.

I'm not sure what kind of pricing you are getting but if you are paying the $450 or whatever these go for at dell.com you should just pass unless $450 is the last money you have in this world and you wont be getting any money any time soon, it isnt THAT much more to upgrade to one of the nicer e1505 or 1405 models (they have been up for as little as 599 brand new in the box) and you will be MUCH happier in the longrun over going for the very spotty engineering found in the b series.

Thank you for the info. I appreciate the feedback and will probably go for one of those models.
