okay im ordering stuff for my watercooling setup tonight and i have some last minute questions.

this is what i think im going with:

dangerden maze2-2
video and chipset
radiator from a car

my question is the pump:

ehiem 1250 (is this submersible or in-line) also, if i'm going with 1/2" tubing how do i convert the sizes for the pump?

if it is submersible, what is good for a reservoir, or what is a good in-line pump and how hard is it to set up an in-line system (links?)

also what about the 1048? is that in-line or sub. and how do i convert and what is the real comparison between 150 and 300 gph?

also, where are the best prices for my pump? should i just get them from danger den with everything else i order?

thanks!

just read this other dude's post, this looks decent too . . .

ViaAqua 480. This is an inline 'mag drive' TRUE 200GPH pump. 3/8" barbs (for 1/2" hose).* 110vAC.
Makes zero noise, runs very cool.* Draws about 4.6 watts.

although i also just read that eheims were a lot better . ..

comments?

Both the eheims are inline or submersible, take your pick (inline tends to give better temps). 300 vs 150 gph means approximately double flow from the 300 in a free-flow system, how it'll perform in your setup is another question, the 1250 will flow significantly more though. Conversion can be acheived through a conversion kit, DD sell these, others will as well I expect, or you can rig it yourself from parts bought at home depot or similar. Can't really comment on prices...

As for eheim versus other manuf.s eheim pumps are top-quality, very solid and not at all prone to leaks or failure. No idea what the leufken pump is like.

BTW, is a sig that takes half a screen really neccessary? :p

ahhhh either or . . . i see. okay.

yeah i dont really see a 3/8 to 1/2 inch converter at dd, maybe ill go to home depot and ask those guys.

most important actually is if someone could give me a link to an in-line pump watercooling setup howto.

and don't be jealous of the sig :D

not jealous just makes me scroll one hell of a lot - you could fit all the info into 3-4 lines after all.
