My 920 at 4 ghz would run a 31 sec 1m SPi run tops.... That was with the RAM OC'd to 955 Mhz at 4-4-4-12. With the lower RAM clocks, and stock 6600, I neted 20 seconds!!!!! :drool: :drool: :drool:

yes it is perfectly normal because the core 2 duo do much better then last gen cpus at superpi. what mobo do you have for your conroe? start ocing and post the results.

i haven't run my 6400 over 1.5 vc yet... it reaches its max fsb at 1.4625 on air.
Mine would get to 400 fsb on 1.4 or so.

Of course my retail box says max vc is 1.35 :shrug:

This is a higher vc than i run on my presslers, but it produces less heat.

Now get that thing clocking so you can post up a great superpie over on the team benching sticky :D

Ok guys... Here's 320 FSB on Auto VCore.... I turned down the RAM to run a 1:1 until I get to a stable OC.....

Needed to bump the Vcore to 1.4 to be able to get into Windows at 360 FSB.....

Decent PI run tho! About what FSB have you guys been having issues with the RAM and being set to SPD????

Don't know what happened, but I realized why my PC may not have booted without that much VCore.

I'm running the Intel Matrix RAID setup on my two WD drives. I have a 50 GB RAID 0 for the OS and 120 GB RAID 1 for data on the two drives. When I booted into Windows once, I caught the RAID BIOS stated the RAID 1 was verifying. When I got into Windows and opened up the Storage Manager, sure enough, it was at about 7% of finding and fixing Verification Errors. Don't know what the hell caused this, but since the HD's are pegged, XP's running really slow.

I'm gonna stop at 370 for now and see what I can do tommorrow.

This occured because of an unstable overclock. LEt MAtrix Storage do it's thing, it rebuilds the entire array back to normal. Then see if it needs to be defragged. This happened to me numerous times in the past.

Turns out Guatam was right. These OEM's don't clock all that well. In order to be Prime stable at 370 FSB, I have to pump 1.575 volts into her. Now, temps only maxxed out at 41 C on air, which isn't bad, but I don't like the idea of using that many volts on this chip until it's proven it's not bad. I'm back down to stable at 320 FSB and 1.45 VCore.

I know Updawg is having the same issue I am with a VERY similar setup. He's on H2O though and running much cooler then me. But his OEM needs almost the EXACT same Vcore mine does at similar speeds. Could be a mobo issue, but don't think so. Allendales are hitting 400 FSB no problem on these things. Unless there's an a setting I'm missing somewhere, this chip is going up for sale for a retail.

not sure if it makes much sense to combine a raid 0 and a raid 1 on the same physical drives?

I know MSM lets you do it but any raid 1 activity would probably kill the performance on the raid 0? Just my guess :shrug:
