1) distilled - less dissolved salts
2) read the water wetter bottle.

use distilled and water wetter and maybe a dab of anti-freeze if your using a copper block and a aluminum rad.

The difference in the cooling abilities of tap water and distilled water is negligable. The distilled water will help prevent corrosion, sediment and algae.
I do not remember the ratio of water wetter, it is on the bottle or on redlineoil's web page.

don't need anti-freeze if you have water wetter

I was thinking about alternative cooling liquids, one of them was rubbing alcohol, just run it 100% and see how it compares to water watter and distilled watter. i also heard adding some alcohol to a mix of water wetter and water helps help out fungi and furry stuff from growing. If you use anti freeze, do not use Havoline DEX-COOL, i heard it destroys PCV resivoirs, just get prestone or something sililar.

rubbing alcohol is thicker than water (harder to pump, slower flow rates) and has much worse thermal properties then water. it will not work as well. check out the link for details.

about 5-10% of water wetter and rest distilled water works the best
