this is a modular psu. 400watt

would this be sufficient to run 2 or 3 SATA drives, pci express 7300 card, 2 dvd writers, and an x2 3800?

It hasn't had any problem on my friend's 2 WD Sata drives, 2 DVD burners, 7900GTX, and P4 Prescott. I don't see any problem at all.

What CPU do you have?
If you're not going to be overclocking much, if at all, it will do great!

If you haven't already bought this PSU, you could try one of the following:

Sparkle FSP 300W

Fortron FSP 350W

I would stay on or over the 400 mark. Besides more watts, less worries. Especially for upgradeability in the future.

One word, yes.

I got 3 sata drives + 2 optical + 6600 + Asus P5W HD + Conroe 6400 + sound card + scsi controller off the Liberty 400w.
