I installed WindowsXP today, and now my sound doesn't work. I had downloaded the WindowsXP version of the Soundblaster Live! Drivers, and when I try to install them, it says that I don't have the sound card properly installed. But I can see that Windows has installed their own Microsoft drivers for my SB Live! Could these be conflicting with the drivers that Creative wants to install? I had the EXACT same problem with Win2K, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it after trying every possibilty. This seems like the same situation. Help Please!!!:(

U sure u got the right right Live drivers? Theres one for the series, and value versions. U can reinstall the original one from the XP cd and that should get the sound drivers back to default. :D
Is your actual sound card installed?
Live! you have to pay for it now I think..
My card worked fine with the default Microsoft Drivers..
But obviously I updated.

My sound was working perfectly when I had WIn98. But after I upgraded, and Microsoft installed its own default drivers, it stopped working. So I downloaded the latest SB Live! Drivers from Creative, but I can't install them so I don't know what to do.

Can you get a hold of Windows 2K?
Try re-downloading the drivers and removin the sound card or whatever :) Place it in a different slot.

Download the correct drivers (value, Live!, etc)
Un-install Microsoft drivers FIRST
Install creatives drivers
It worked fine for me on XP.
