If you bought it off the net then I would e-mail first then send it to them if they can re-new it...

If its at a local store talk it over they'll most likely give you a new one because they know nothing and they'll just give you the chip..

If not you will send to Intel and speak to a representative and they will ask you questions.

RMA applies to anywhere.

No Problem but just remember Intel won't just simply ship you the chip they will ask you question and they seem to like blaming customers so they don't lose too much profit..

They will find as much excuses as they can.. At least they did to me and alot of people I know :0

i suppose at the end of the day you argue you're point using ultimate brinksmanship then surely the only ppl to get a kb will (for the majority anyway must have)be ppl who let themselves be persuaded to go as i find that in general life you only get what you accept?no?

respect and once again thanks for that bit knowledge :burn:

The reason Intel is like that is becaus it is very rare for a Intel processor to have problems. they do have a 7 year warranty as for AMD which only has 1 Year.
Unless you Overclock which is why they ask so many questions.
I didn't have a problem my MOBO burnd my chip and they sent me one right away.

Just for the record, it's a 3 Year Intel Retail warranty...
