Oh really now? Well, you know, I guess those other 3 computers at work could use a good workout. Let's give them a good run, shall we? :) And you know, I think my father restored his computer recently. Probably getting alittle bit too much fat on it. Let's give it a work out as well, neh?

You don't have to start over, just continue to use your same username! Hey, if you have some decent folding guns, you'll fly through the "dead folders" graveyard and be in the Top 20 in no time!

Lord_Anubis, while I originally started folding for this team here, I went to the Short Media team for almost 3 years and folded over 800,000 points and over 17,000 wu's with them before I came back here. So team switching isn't that bad (as you already know, since you've done it a couple of times). So if you ever want to come fold a few with us you are entirely welcome and by all means, we welcome your visits here anyways even though you don't fold for us. :)
So WII, what mobo do you have ordered, a Conroe board? I can promise you that a Allendale in a good overclocking board will kick some major arse, points-wise.
And Lord_Anubis, have you thought of getting you c couple of CT-479 adapters along with a couple of Dothan 730's for those P4P800SE boards? I can guarrantee that they will average better than your P4's and consume less power and put out less heat. You can get the Dothans for well less than $100 on eBay nowdays and the CT-479 costs around $50 from ZZF (just checked and they still have them).

For lowest cost "bang for the buck", I would recommend the Gigabyte GA 965P DS3 (http://www.maxitmag.com/testing-bay/motherboards/gigabyte-ga-965p-ds3-motherboard-review/). The Asus P5W DH costs quite a bit more and is hard to find right now. ;)
a little cheaper than the p5w dh is the p5b deluxe ... still more expensive than the ds3 but according to my measurements it folds the juicy wu's 11% better with the same 6400 and memory.
Do you need to update the bios for the p5b Dlx?

From what I've read, both the boards that pscout said would be a good choice. Go with the DS3 if you are trying to save money and the P5B-Dlx for max performance (as they stand right now). Who knows which board will be the performance leader in a month though. The bios revisions seem to be coming quite regularly for all the performance Conroe boards.
There seem to be a bit of a range amongst different folks OC's on these early bios releases. The bios levels on all my conroe capable mobos are now at least 1 level less than current, except the p5b basic which is lagging and not a good bet for a decent oc atm.
It seems tho that 50% oc on the allendales is virtually a no brainer on all the decent boards.
The main thing to be wary of is memory compatibilities ... abits are not good yet, and ds3 may still have its challenges.
Also there is some speculation that some of the oem's may not be clocking as well as the retails atm? But I think this is only relevant to the 6600/6700's ... if it is even true.
I may reflash the p5b-d tonight since that is where the 6400 is atm and see if the newer bios improves things further. I backed the fsb off to 430 the other day due to a heat? induced eue. :o
... whoops ... sorry to keep this threadjack going ... we seem to be interrupting some serious smack :D

Unfortunately almost all of the computers I have that are decent folders are already running. And of course, I haven't had any luck borging other people's computers either, so I'm basically maxed out for now. Business administration is so stupid sometimes... unless they're worried about the increased electric pull by running a bunch of machines 100% 24/7, then there's really nothing that can be harmed... only good can be done. I understand, I haven't been successful at convincing anyone else @ work to Fold either. I work in IT and even my co-workers are like, "you have 7 computers for what?". Then the next question is, "do you get paid for that?". Needless to say, that kind of response discourages me from trying to talk the computer illiterate into running, or letting me run, F@H on their hardware. I'm just a lowly farmer... what can I say?
But enough about that... you have been Poof'd! :D

GBI = Georgia Bureau of Investigation (Georgia version of FBI), and I could get it because the higher higher up didnt like it, and it since I bypassed computer protections, it would be 126 counts of "cyber crimes".

Sounds like some little IT cub decided to roar. Even if your company and the govt GBI or whomever went to all that trouble to try to incarcarate you wouldn't the blame fall on those that gave you permission...since they didn't have proper permission to in turn give you permission? Does that make sense? I dunno, maybe I'm not making sense, I"ve had a few.
