View Full Version : Turbo Setting
.. *Looks around for the turbo seting*
Does every mobo have this or?
Me BE6 me thinks doesn't have it.. Or at least I don't think.
Probably not. I only started seeing this available when the VIA chipset started being implemented.
Most settings it controls you can also change manually, one-by-one, in your BIOS though.

wth is that setting for anyways?????
set mine to minimum or maximum, then i flashed bios and it went to minimum or turbo...
On my KT7a, Turbo changes the RAM tRAS, tRP & tRCD timings to the fastest setting. Some BIOS show it as names like Normal, Fast or Turbo, others show tRAS, tRP & tRCD & then the timing #. Lower # is faster
There is a pretty good explaination of it here:

scroll down a bit.
yeah it has to do with mem timmings. The faster the better. But I had prob running mine on turbo with my CAS3 memory.
I need to upgrade to CAS2 soon!!!!!!!!!
Rob
Thanks...
