dont know if anyone has seen the video for warhammer:mark of chaos, but it took my breath away. havent seen a gameplay video but if someone could make a game like this it would rock!!!!

Same here, I actually hate sites like rapidshare.de, they depend on ISPs that regularly empty their server caches, which doesn't happen with my ISP, so I can actually never download anything from rapidshare, a poorly designed system.

The first link is gameplay footage. The trailer doesn't necessarily correlate to much except the advertising budget. It is a good trailer as trailers go though.

The actual gameplay graphics of WoW are very nice (note, not amazing). You have expressed your obvious bias against WoW before, #18, however to just state that they are crap, is pretty harsh; Especially, when it is your opinion.

That cannot be a legit answer at all on a graphical basis. There are hundreds of games where the movies are much better looking than the game. That does not mean the game itself is bad. Once again, #18, you are grasping for reasons to put down a game you have an obvious bias against.

I am amazed that Blizzard, more than any company in the games industry has gained such a devout following and avid loathing. It is interesting there seems to be no middle ground, such as "WOW is okay", or "SC was average". It is always "WOW is the bestest game in the world" or "I hate WOW with a passion" etc.

Perhaps it is because WOW gains a disproportionate amount of press. For example, if you listen to the PC Gamer podcast, every episode there is something on the subject of WOW.

By the amount of coverage this game gets and Blizzard games receive in general, one could be forgiven in thinking that this company produces the best games in the entire games industry, despite FPS being the most popular game genre.

Blizzard has such a following, because of their original titles. Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo. When those games were envisioned, the technology was not as great, so people were not as demanding. So in such, they were instant hits, because they filled a void in gameplay, and they did it well. Today, such advances allows for so many variations in a game, from the graphics, to the gameplay. The variation ability has caused desires of varied differences in people. Taking #18 for example (I hope you dont mind, #18); His opinion is greatly against WoW. However, I like WoW. We both agree, it has its shortcomings in certain areas, and we also disagree on its shortcomings in others. There are hundreds of thousands of scenarios like this out there. Nobody can honestly say "this game is crap", because that means so little today. It's crap to you, its the greatest game to the next person, its mediocre to the next. All opinion; None of which should be given to a person, because you dont know how that person will like or not like it.

Midnight Dream you're right, although I'm still curious as to why Blizzard has such a love-it-or-hate-it culture surrounding it. Culture is perhaps not the correct word but I hope you understand what I mean.

Here's the opinion bit: I don't mind wow, to be honest, I don't play MMO games in general (to me it is too time consuming), what I don't like is the media attention it gets, such as the upcoming expansion pack. For example, there is far more press material surrounding this than Half Life 2: Episode 2, but perhaps this is because Valve hasn't released as much information as Blizzard has.

I thought that wow was just ok... I guess that I am one of the few, and I simply find all back and forth wow banter to be quite funny. The pve in that game was the best that I have ever seen in a MMO but the pvp was sup par at best, and yes I did get to lvl 60.

The only thing that I hate about blizzard is that they seem to have given up on their one good game a year emphasis after they came into the cash cow that is wow; they basically gave up on doing anything else.

I still wish that they made world of starcraft, or something, instead of world of warcraft because the warcraft universe is the most uninspired, cliche, and stereotypical fantasy universe around bar none.

If any game can copy wow but give its own spin to it I'm all game as major things lacking in wow are all player base, pvp, and graphically driven. The engine that blizzard created for wow is top rate IMO and if you copy the best but make it your own the game can only benefit from it. However most wow clones thus far have copied the bad points of wow and not the good.

I look forward to seeing what becomes of this game.
