I was talking to my uncle about my plans to water cool my computer, and we started talking about more extreme cooling like liquid nitrogen, and fluorinert and how they could be fairly easly done. my problem whith fluorinert is that it is about $500 a gallon which I can not afford. He said that he could probably get me some for free. If I can get this stuff I need a way to use it. I need a setup that is contained and alows me to move my computer around. if anyone has any suggestions of places to read about it please let me know thanx

I have to assume that this stuff is at least as dense as water... therefore, its probably going to be pretty wieghty to have enough of it to submerge your system... How mobile do you need to be? Would wheels work? People I know who have very involved cooling just ended up building another, smaller (like uATX) system to take with them to LANs and what not... So if that's a possibility?
Peace

uhh well i am pretty broke because all of my money goes to my computer, which is why i cant buy this stuff myself, so it needs to be ably to move into a car to a lanp arty. I only need enough to get mobo under il find something else for the rest but mainly i need a way to hold the stuff and my drives while still seperating them:eh?:
Check the thread on mineral oil, the plexiglass container looks like a good way to go. Can be made spillproof and virtually watertight fairly easily if you wanted to. Tell your uncle to come over for Thanksgiving dinner and bring some of that stuff with him.
