View Full Version : why does adobe premiere suck soo much for avi compression?

it makes a 5min video over 800mb! and the divx codecs dont work right with it.
maybe theres a better codec, or a way to render into mpeg instead of oldschool avi?

that cant be right... what codec are you choosing ?
DV-AVI eats about that much hard drive space (13GB/hr). Premiere Elements and Premiere Pro are very good NLEs... perhaps you should try an easier to use editor to get your feet wet in video editing?

that cinpack codec by radius. the first codec that appears when you are in the settings..

i have some good experience with adobe premiere. but i always used another app for compression. i just dont understand why it has such terrible compression options. everything else is a+ in premiere for me :)

the title was the first thing that came to mind... thats it, i guess i coulda said "adobe premiere compression options" or something... but yeah im waiting for an answer too.. its weird

for editing? nothing really, premiere works quite well for me. i started off using MMM2
